I have this 8-10 page paper due next week in Historical Books, and I have just started it tonight.I have no idea to why I wait to almost the last minute. I used to never be like this, but this semester its seems to be the story of my life. To me, it seems that I am always playing catch-up especially on the weekends. I wish I had more time to hang out with my friends. Some people do not see or talk to me as much as last semester or even last year. I have just been too busy. That is somewhat my fault because I have decided to play sports. When playing a sport, you will end up losing some of your homework time in the afternoon leaving you to do it all at night.
Someone asked me way I play sports and why do I go through the aches and pains and what do I get out of playing? I play sports because I enjoy it a lot. I love the game of softball. Some people just don't understand why, but I grew up with baseball and softball. I just cannot get away from it. I can tell if a practice was good or not. A good practice makes you ache afterwards or the next day. A good workout would include your legs to ache. Getting hurt just comes with the game. If you toss too much, your arm will hurt (like mine does now). Playing softball teaches someone a variety of lessons. You learn about teamwork, sportmanship, dedication, perserverance, time management, and the list goes on. Playing a sport has its up and downs, but there is a lot more ups than there is downs. One just needs to play to understand why I play sports.
One bad thing about playing softball is that I don't spend enough time with the people that matter the most. For example, I see my roommate in the morning, and the next time I might see her is sometime after 7:30. I wish I could spend more time with her. That is one of the reasons I get up Tuesday and Thursday early with her, so I can spend time with her and hang out with her. I would also like to spend more time with some of the guy friends I have, but I don't. If I try to spend time with them, my grades drop and I do not want that to happen. I think I should just lock myself up in my room and if anyone wants to see me, they have to come to my room. Go out of their way to talk to me because I go out of my way to talk with them. What about having a two way street?
Just a little note, our softball games were moved to 2 and 4 this Saturday given that we play. The games might be canceled due to the weather. I will let you know tomorrow whats up. If the games are not canceled, it would be wonderful if a lot of you could come out and cheer us on.
